Key dates
- In-person voting: Mon, Oct 19 to Mon, Nov 2State law requires the minimum number of Voter Service and Polling Centers to open by Monday, October 19 (some counties open earlier). Hours depend on your county. Every county this guide covers is open Saturday, Oct 31, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Election Day, 7 AM to 7 PM. Some centers only open in the last week. Adams County is also open Sunday, Nov 1, 10 AM to 2 PM; Arapahoe's centers are closed that Sunday. Check your county's list for your center's hours.
- Last day to register online: Mon, Oct 26Register or update online at GoVoteColorado.gov by Monday, October 26 (8 days before the election) to still get a ballot in the mail. After that you can still register, but only in person at a vote center.
- Last day to register by mail: Mon, Oct 26Paper applications by mail, at a DMV, or at a voter registration agency must be submitted by the 8th day before the election (October 26) to get a mail ballot. Voter registration drives had an earlier cutoff: 22 days before the election (October 12).
- Mail ballot request and replacement datesYou don't need to request a ballot. If yours never arrived, was lost, or you made a mistake, ask your county clerk for a replacement. Denver says October 26 is the last day to request that a replacement be mailed to you; after that, get a replacement in person at a vote center or just vote in person. Denver also says: if your ballot hasn't arrived by Tuesday, October 13, call 720-913-VOTE (8683).
- Last day to register in person: Tue, Nov 3You can register in person at any Voter Service and Polling Center in your county through 7:00 PM on Election Day and vote right then.
- Mail ballot deadline: Tue, Nov 37:00 PM MT
- 24-hour drop box (any drop box in your county; Denver has 49, open since Oct. 5; statewide minimum open since Oct. 12)
- any Voter Service and Polling Center in your county (during its hours)
- mail (USPS): too late now. The state's last suggested day was Monday, October 26. Use a drop box or a vote center instead (no stamp needed).
- county clerk's election office (Denver Elections Division, 200 W. 14th Ave., has a drop box at the NE corner of the building)
- Election Day: Tue, Nov 3Polls close at 7 PM. If you are in line at a vote center by 7:00 PM you get to vote, no matter how long it takes. Ballots in a drop box or in the clerk's hands by 7:00 PM count; drop boxes lock at 7:00 PM.

What to bring
ID required in person; non-photo ID is OK.
No ID? Mail ballots: no ID is needed for most voters; your signature is your ID. Only some first-time voters must include a photocopy of ID (your packet will say). In person: ID is required for everyone. If you don't have one you can vote a provisional ballot, which is counted once the county verifies your eligibility, or you can go home, pick up your mail ballot, and drop it off instead.
