- Last day to ask for a mail ballot: Wed, Oct 21Your application for a ballot by mail had to reach the City Election Board by 5 PM on Wednesday, October 21. That deadline has passed. You can vote absentee in person through Monday, November 2, or at your polling place on Election Day.
- Mail ballot deadline: Tue, Nov 37:00 PM CT
- Mail it to the Board of Election Commissioners, 300 N. Tucker Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63101. It must arrive by 7 PM on Nov 3. A postmark doesn't count. You get no confirmation unless you send it by certified mail.
- Return it in person at the Board, 300 N. Tucker Blvd., Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. A relative or guardian bringing it for you must come in person and sign a form saying how you're related. State law (RSMo 115.291) allows only close relatives: a spouse, parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, brother, sister, or a parent- or child-in-law. Friends and neighbors can't.

300 N. Tucker Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63101 (the City board downtown, not the St. Louis County board in St. Ann)
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday, Oct 31, 9 AM to 1 PM, for absentee voting in person.
What to bring
Photo ID required in person.
No ID? On Election Day you can cast a provisional ballot. It counts if either (a) you return to the same polling place before 7:00 PM with an acceptable photo ID, or (b) the election authority finds the signature on your provisional envelope matches your voter registration record. You get a stub with instructions to check whether it counted. Most registered voters' provisional ballots do count on the signature match, but don't gamble if your ID is at home. In-person absentee voting (Oct 20 to Nov 2) is different: the Secretary of State says 'In person absentee voters are not eligible for a provisional ballot,' so bring your photo ID when you vote absentee in person.
